“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what He has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End….The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’…’Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come Lord Jesus.” — REVELATION 22:12-20
O Lord Jesus, you are the “Alpha and the Omega,” “who is, who was and who is to come, the Almighty” and we praise and worship you! “You are worthy, our Lord and God to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Lord, we the Church—your Bride—humbly repent of our sin and idolatry and reset our hearts back on you. Lord Jesus, you and you alone are worthy of our praise and worship as our Lord and King. Strengthen our faith that we may always be “sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Grant us your wisdom to truly see and understand the glory of your divine majesty and the great inheritance and reward you have prepared for us in your kingdom. Lord, let us not be troubled, but comfort us with your love and your presence as we walk through the “valley of the shadow of death.” Fill us with your Holy Spirit and pour out the fruits of the Spirit on your Church. Grant us the peace to face the tests, trials and tribulations you have prepared for us in this dark world with grace and love. We willingly and joyfully offer up our bodies as living sacrifices as our spiritual act of worship, knowing that this is a holy and pleasing sacrifice to you, Lord! Drive out all our fears with your perfect love as we commit to overcome the world just as you have already overcome. May our faithful testimony and sacrifice bring you honor and praise. May our righteous deeds shine brightly to bring you glory. May your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We rejoice in the hope that our faithfulness will be rewarded as you welcome us as your radiant Bride in the coming wedding supper of the Lamb. We long for that glorious day when you return to destroy all evil and restore your eternal kingdom. Until then, we shall remain faithful while we expectantly wait for your return and cry out together with one voice in eager anticipation: Come, Lord Jesus, Come! Amen and Amen!
